Why are police allowed to post work emails on Facebook?

You heard that right, Why is police allowed to post work emails on Facebook?

Mission Beach News has obtained indisputable evidence of previous Queensland Police Service, Officer in Charge, Mission Beach Police Station, Sergeant Troy Nowitzki official work emails being publicly posted on the World Wide Web by unknown 3rd parties, without any consent or permission.

Unfortunately for Sergeant Troy Nowitzki the evidence shows as the author, he has posted the email as the only known person at this time by MBN who had access to the official Queensland Government Queensland Police Service work email containing 3rd party personal details released without the 3rd parties’ consent than posted on the World Wide Web and indexed by search engines around the world.

So why are police allowed to post their work emails on Facebook? Good question

As you can understand, the official police email contains personal information, for legal reasons, including the Privacy Act, the details of the email cannot be released at this time by MBN, in this story.

It’s pretty clear that you don’t need to be the Queensland Attorney-General to known posting police work emails is not allowed & illegal for many reasons, however MBN is not the Queensland Attorney-General and as such MBN has asked this question to the following:

Why is police allowed to post work emails on Facebook?

Premier of Queensland

So far, it’s very concerning its only crickets you hear from the Premiers office.

Hon Steven Miles, Deputy Premier of Queensland

So far, it’s crickets from Steven after texted the question.

Queensland Attorney-General

This will be the most interesting statement should it be received by MBN, why Queensland Government employees posting their work emails on Facebook is allowed and nothing is done about the very serious matter, as no comment has been received to date from the Queensland Attorney-General after a formal request for a statement with the media department.

Queensland Police Service Media Department

Answered by refusing to make a statement as they cannot provide MBN with a statement, as MBN is not accredited, yet Police Media has been providing MBN statements for years and never had a refusal in the past on any request from the Queensland Government unless it was required to protect ongoing matters, namely Toyah’s murder.

Hon Steven Miles, Deputy Premier of Queensland has in the past provided a statement to MBN so the claim by Police Media MBN is not accredited is laughable as the Queensland Government has provided many statements after a formal request has been made by MBN, a Queensland Government cover up to hide illegal conduct already? surely not.

However, Police Media has answered the question in full by refusing to answer, as MBN is not accredited, in their own Police Media work emails, a legal notice is on all Queensland Government official emails, oops someone is in some very serious poo poo at Queensland Police Service releasing information on the World Wide Web.

So, what happens now, are Queensland Government employees breaking any rules or laws posting work emails on Facebook, MBN asked the question to Police Media, can MBN publish your work email? I bet not or it could just be jail time!

MBN will keep the community updated as information comes to hand or can be released.

MBN will keep asking the question until an answer is received, in full, not a refusal by Police Media to answer but answering anyway with a legal notice, why this is allowed in Australia, surely there’s laws to protect the community or is it just the wild west at the Queensland Government?

Unfortunately, MBN was not able to make direct contact with Sergeant Troy Nowitzki for a statement before this story was published, Sergeant Troy Nowitzki has been advised at his current station and MBN welcomes a statement anytime by Sergeant Troy Nowitzki to clear up any misunderstandings in this story.
