Drug charges, Innisfail: A 38-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man from Ingham have been charged with a number of drug offences on Saturday, September 2.

Police will allege that whilst conducting random breath tests on Ernest Street, Innisfail they have located an amount of drugs and drug related items on the man and woman.

The woman was charged with one count each of possessing a dangerous drug, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime and possessing utensils.

The man was charged with one count of possessing utensils.

They are both scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on September 25.

 

Weapons, drug charges: On September 3, Innisfail Police have intercepted a vehicle on Edith Street, Innisfail.

Police will allege that whilst speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, a 19-year-old man from Guanaba and a 19-year-old man from Jimboomba.

It will be alleged police have located an amount of drugs, drug utensils and a knife.

The man from Guanaba was charged with one count each of possessing a dangerous drug and unlawful possession of a weapon, namely a knife.

The Jimboomba man was charged with one count each of possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, possess utensils and possessing a dangerous drug.

Both men are scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on October 10.

 

Traffic offences: A 27-year-old Bohle Plains man was issued with a $420 infringement notice on September 6. The man was intercepted on Railway Line, Rungoo around 4:20pm. It will be alleged the man was travelling at 105km/h in an 80km/h zone.

Police intercepted a 59-year-old Broadbeach Waters man on the Bruce Highway, Rungoo around 4pm on Wednesday afternoon. As a result of the intercept it will be alleged the man was travelling at 98km/h in a 80km/h zone.He was issued with a $252 infringement notice.

A 17-year-old Wangan man was charged with drink driving on September 2. He was intercepted around 5am on Martin Street for a roadside breath test. As a result of the test it will be alleged the man returned a reading of 0.95 per cent BAC. His licence was suspended and he is scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on September 25.

 

Stolen Trailer, Babinda: Babinda police are investigating the theft of a box trailer Queensland registration CH187 from a Council Lane, Babinda address between August 28 and September 3.

Police are urging anyone with any information to contact Crime Stoppers or their local Police Station and quote reference number QP1701555897.
