Disturbance, Innisfail: A 56-year-old man was charged with public nuisance offence on Thursday October 5.

Police will allege the man was on Fitzgerald Esplanade around 7am verbally abusing members of the public as they walked past.

The man continued to swear abuse at police. He was arrested and transported to the Innisfail watch house.

He is scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on October 19.

 

Cannabis plants located: A 23-year-old East Innisfail man was charged with a number of drug offences on Wednesday afternoon.

Police executed a search warrant at a Scheu Street address around 2:40pm on October 4.

It will be alleged as a result of the search officers located a number of cannabis plants, cannabis and drug utensils.

The man was charged with one count each of producing a dangerous drug, possessing a dangerous drug, possessing a drug utensil, and possessing property suspected of having been in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

He is scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates court on October 30

 

Speeding, Eubenangee: A 38-year-old Mena Creek woman was issued with a $420 infringement notice on Wednesday morning.

Officers from the Innisfail Road Policing Unit will allege they intercepted the woman travelling at 107 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the Bruce Highway, Eubenangee around 9:45am.

 

Traffic Crash, Palmerston Drive: A 37-year-old Eubenangee woman was issued with a $294 infringement notice for follow two close, after she collided with the rear of a Toyota Corolla on Wednesday morning, on Palmerston Drive.

The 37-year-old woman was transported to Innisfail Hospital for minor injuries.

The 24-year-old man driving the Toyota Corolla received no injuries.

 

Unregistered uninsured vehicle, Innisfail: Cairns road policing unit police intercepted a 27-year-old Webb man on the Bruce Highway, Innisfail around midday on Tuesday for a traffic matter.

Police will allege the man’s vehicle was unregistered and uninsured at the time and he was subsequently issued with infringement notices totalling $806.
