A Cassowary is in care after being fed by people.
A juvenile cassowary is in rehabilitation after it was hand-fed so often the bird didn’t learn how to find food for itself.
The young male cassowary from the Tablelands was rescued by EHP & Rainforest Reserves Australia. He was put into care at the Lake Barrine pre release facility to be taught to eat rainforest natives, fattened up & dehumanised before being released to the wild.
This is a important story as people feeding any Cassowary can kill the bird A FED BIRD IS A DEAD BIRD
